A Journal of Growing Things That Last.

Welcome, Friend
I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.

Whether you stumbled across a gardening post, were searching for tips on sustainable living, or just happened upon a photo that spoke to you, welcome. This space was created to slow things down, dig a little deeper, and connect through the beauty of thoughtful seasonal living.

Who I Am

My name is Meghan Robins, and I’m a horticulturist, writer, and lifelong learner. I’ve worked with orchids, designed regenerative gardens, and studied both agriculture, marketing, and sustainability which means I’m just as interested in how we grow things as I am in why we do it. I’m currently based in southeastern Pennsylvania, where my husband and I are renovating a 1900s home and growing our own small garden into something that reflects both our values and our vision.

What You’ll Find Here

This site is home to stories, how-to’s, and reflections across four main categories:

  • Home: intentional renovations, craftsmanship, and homemaking

  • Garden: design ideas, seasonal updates, and practical advice

  • Orchids: care tips, growing techniques and detailed guides

  • Lifestyle: sustainable living, mindful consumption, and purpose-driven habits

Each post is written in a letter-style format because I believe in writing to people, not just at them.

When I Post

I share two blog posts each week, rotating through the four main categories.

  • Week A: Garden and Lifestyle

  • Week B: Orchids and Home

In addition to that regular rhythm, you’ll also find seasonal posts that follow the natural cycles of the year, from planting calendars to cozy fall rituals.

I also regularly create downloadable PDF guides to help you put ideas into action, from plant care checklists to sustainable living prompts. These are free to anyone who wants them. Just sign up or join the email list to get access.

The Bigger Picture

In time, these posts will grow into something more: a printed and digital publication called The Authentic Almanac. It will bring together everything I’m building here, combining gardening knowledge, personal insight, sustainable practices, and the rhythm of the seasons into a tangible guide for slow, thoughtful living.

If you’d like to be the first to know when that launches, I invite you to sign up for email updates. In the meantime, feel free to browse the blog, settle in, and stay a while.

Sincerely,
The Grower
